Now accepting new students for the 2019-2020 Red Cloud Studio year!

Red Cloud is on a mission to build creative and confident musicians who use their ears, improvise, read music, compose, and perform! We’re especially focused on helping our students develop practice and learning strategies that make for an exciting and joyful process. Your child will have a bunch of opportunities to play in different formats including lab sessions, recitals, community performances, workshops, etc.

How this works

Introductory lesson

We want to get to know you and your child so we can get you started with the teacher and curriculum that fits just right. Your first step is to schedule an introductory lesson. This allows you to get a feel for the space, see how your child interacts with the teacher, and ask all your questions - your child will even get to make some music!

At this lesson, you’ll work with your teacher to find a day and time that fits with your schedule. And you’ll schedule your weekly lesson!

Do you offer Group Lessons?

Kind of… We’re piloting a new group program and will be taking new students later this year. Your first step is to learn the basics in a private lesson. We’ve found that this establishes a trust and safety between student and teacher and provides the necessary attention at the beginning of the process. If you’d like to know more about a group lesson just let your teacher know!

How Much are Lessons and What spots are available?

The price and availability all depends on your teacher. At the introductory lesson you’ll go over all the nitty gritty and find the best fit.

Do you teach adults?

Yes! We have a limited amount of space for adults. To inquire about adult lessons, email info@redcloudchicago.com.
